| Problem Statement
How might we help people with allergies effortlessly manage unpredictable allergens in their daily environment?
| Ideation & Co-Creation
We invited 7 participants with long-term allergy struggles to ideate and conduct a card sort with us for their ideal allergy management tool.
After careful analysis, we shaped our design principle around creating an effortless and supportive service. We prioritized the concept of an "At Home & Allergen-Free Community," recognizing that people want to feel allergy free in their own homes.
AT Home: Home automation system designed to manage and identify allergens based on levels for a healthier living space.
Smart Allergen Calendar: Users can set the places they want to go in the future in the smart calendar to add itineraries.
Allergen Self Test Kit: When moving to a new location, to prevent unpredictable of allergen, we can test and see potential allergen.
Allergen Free Community: We use an allergen monitor to detect allergen threats in your area and share insights.
| Final Solution

| What I've learned
We received feedback on several design options suggesting that AI utilization could be more ambitious. However, we’re concerned that AI could intrude on user privacy, potentially causing fear and a loss of trust in our product. While integrating AI into the design offers exciting opportunities, it requires further testing to ensure efficiency. We’re eager to explore this potential, and with more resources, we hope to make life better for those with allergies.
